Lodge Weekend “Photo Camp” May 11, 2013 (with optional overnight)


NOW JUST $25 MEMBERS/ $50 NON-MEMBERS !!!  WHAT A STEAL !! SIGN UP NOW.  Lectures/workshops on Art Theory, Portrait Photography, HDR, Landscape Composition, , Portfolio Review.

Potluck dinner, sunrise hike, campfire, participant image slideshow, quality time with friendly photo enthusiasts !

Workshop check in starts at 8am on Saturday morning.   Dorm style sleeping arrangements are available.  There is also room for tents if you prefer to sleep outdoors.  Workshops end at lunchtime on Sunday.  Bring your camera camera manual, a notebook, up to 20 images of member share slideshow (sized to projection specs on club website), a sack lunch for Saturday and a potluck item to share on Saturday night.  Don’t’ forget to pack some warm clothing.  Mountain temperatures can be cool even in May.  Contact Theresa for more info:  tvernett@yahoo.com    Register by sending name, address, email, and payment by check or money order (made to Sierra Club Photography Section) to:  Theresa Vernetti 3615 Alabama St., San Diego, CA 92104.

8-9 am  Check in

9-10 Bob Younger – What Makes a Photograph (outdoors)

10:15-Noon  Steve Cirone – On Camera Flash Portrait Workshop.  Bring your cameras and flash. (indoors)

Noon-1pm  BYO Lunch

1-2  Ken Rockwell  How To Take Spectacular Pictures With Any Camera (outdoor)

2:15-3:15pm  Jonathan Fennell  High Dynamic Range Photography (indoor)

3:30-4:30pm Karl Grobl – Natural Light Portraiture (outdoors)

4:45pm-5:45pm  Happy Hour on the basketball court

6-7pm  Potluck Dinner

7:00-7:15pm Clean up dinner

7:15-9pm Participant/Teacher slideshow

9pm – ?  Indoor campfire
